Hello! Welcome to My Seventies Nest, a blog encompassing my seventies home inspiration, decorating ideas and personal home transformation. And who am I? I'm Tori Radday, a twenty-something who dreams of mod wallpaper and futuristic seventies furniture in her sleep.
I've been blogging successfully about fashion for over six years but just recently decided to branch out into the home decor blogging sphere. I graduated from Philadelphia University with a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising and management in May 2016 and shortly after managed to land a marketing/social media management position at a home decor business in Richmond, Virginia. Originally I hadn't planned to work in anything but fashion but couldn't turn down the position at the home decor business when it arose. Being surrounded by home decor-focused projects and campaigns almost constantly in my workplace piqued my interest in visual home aesthetics in addition to my already established passion for fashion.
Recently, I purchased my first home in Richmond, Virginia. I'm immensely looking forward to moving into the home within the next couple months and am eager to decorate the cute little nest. I've decided to take my piqued interest in home decor and combine it with my passion for blogging as well as personal taste in seventies aesthetics to create this blog, My Seventies Nest. I hope to fill it with seventies home inspiration, decorating ideas and my personal home decor journey to share with you all; I'm hoping it will inspire you all just as much as myself.
